[WINNING] Rushing gets you no where. The ones who are for you will be for you...just put in the work day by day and step by step. There is no need to rush to Z, and realize that to sustain Z, you actually need everything A - Y had to teach you. Sometimes the destination may not be what you had in mind, most times it is a change in your character not necessarily a change in your circumstances. I learnt that! ⠀

[VALENTINES] WHAT? I love red lipsticks, and a gal doing bad all by herself while manifesting her lover! 😂🤣...Okay enough with this lover already, AdeOla. 😁 You will catch me making sweet, compassionate and self- affirming love to myself. Happy Valentines Peeps!
•
But If you meet my dark-skin, tall, bald and thickums bae, tell him to make haste. 😝 Heck, if you meet him wearing a different skin color or with a full head of hair or lean and athletic...send him my way too biko. The only important criteria is he should be able to out dance me!😝

Just another day w/ some of my gals. Happy Galentines Day! 💫💕🎈🥰
[ON LOVERS + HIPS] When I was in my 20's, I moved back home after my masters and woke up several times in the middle of the night to my mama's desperate prayers and cries for yours truly to bring home a husband. I am past my 20's and she is still praying. I bet to her my life isn't full and complete without a husband. While me, I'm here just trying to manifest a lover and hips on this cold Valentine's day week..hehehe! I keed! Don't tell Jesus! ⠀
•⠀
I am just thankful that though her prayers are still intense...they don't feel as desperate. But dear bae...you need to come around the corner and answer my mom's prayer oh. ⠀
•
In the meantime, I know I am created with my own agency and purpose so pending a walk down the aisle, you are looking at a full woman with a full life and missing hips. Someone tell my mama!⠀

[...] Life moves with or without you. {02.09.19]
[ALIGNMENT] When I was in college, I was a bit unsure about what I wanted to do with my life. I was interested in a lot of things, and I still am. I started out with Pre-law and after a few (read: 9😩) changes, I graduated with a Mass Communication: Public Relations degree. ⠀
•⠀
Today, I am juggling two things - life as a writer + editor, and as a project manager. Getting to here was not a walk in the park. For a while, I wondered if I was confused. Now, I have accepted that I do both well, but giving myself permission to keep doing both was not easy especially because the messaging all around me was to FOCUS. Separating @crysandtiana (Pronounced: Chris and Tiana), my project management company, from @adeola.fadumiye was equally not easy. Lately, I am allowing myself to settle comfortably into two of the many things I do well. By accepting and focusing on these two above any other, I get even more clarity with each new client, project, and manuscript.⠀
•⠀
This is a still journey, and I am still discovering and understanding my core skills. It is not something we all figure out in college, in our 20s or even in our 30s. It might as well be a life-long journey. ⠀

[UNDANCE] This is not a love song...
[02.04.19]
[REBUILDING] “Afflicted city, storm-battered, unpitied: I’m about to rebuild you with stones of turquoise, lay your foundations with sapphires, construct your towers with rubies, your gates with jewels, and all your walls with precious stones.
•
All your children will have God for their teacher - what a mentor for your children! You’ll be built solid, grounded in righteousness, far from any trouble—nothing to fear! Far from terror—it won’t even come close! If anyone attacks you, don’t for a moment suppose that I sent them, and if any should attack, nothing will come of it.
•
I create the blacksmith who fires up his forge and makes a weapon designed to kill. I also create the destroyer—but no weapon that can hurt you has ever been forged. Any accuser who takes you to court will be dismissed as a liar. This is what God’s servants can expect. I’ll see to it that everything works out for the best.”
God’s Decree. [02.01.19]

[DAWN]"Your Redeemer God says" "I left you, but only for a moment. Now, with enormous compassion, I’m bringing you back. In an outburst of anger, I turned my back on you—but only for a moment. It’s with lasting love that I’m tenderly caring for you."⠀
•
“This exile is just like the days of Noah for me, I promised then that the waters of Noah would never again flood the earth. I’m promising now no more anger, no more dressing you down. For even if the mountains walk away and the hills fall to pieces,⠀
My love won’t walk away from you, my covenant commitment of peace won’t fall apart. The God who has compassion on you says so."⠀
[01.30.19]
[THINK BIG] “Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby. Fill the air with song, you who’ve never experienced childbirth! You’re ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women.” God says so!”
•
“Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep. You’re going to need lots of elbow room for your growing family. You’re going to take over whole nations; you’re going to resettle abandoned cities. Don’t be afraid— you’re not going to be embarrassed. Don’t hold back—you’re not going to come up short. You’ll forget all about the humiliations of your youth, and the indignities of being a widow will fade from memory.”
•
“For your Maker is your bridegroom, his name, God-of-the-Angel-Armies! Your Redeemer is The Holy of Israel, known as God of the whole earth. You were like an abandoned wife, devastated with grief, and God welcomed you back, Like a woman married young and then left,” says your God.”

[AWAKENING] Creating stability in all areas of my life is another hope I have for 2019. As an entrepreneur, it can be hard to do financially without a full/part time job and/or partner’s support, but I am doing it and plan to be better at it.
•
Two ways I started on it last year was to hire a team (part-time assistant and intern) and to create monthly retainer packages for retainer clients. My work as a project manager (follow @crysandtiana) continues to evolve, but one thing I’m sure of is I don’t plan to live on just revolving clients aka gig to gig. I created 2 service packages that brought in long term contracts and my hope was to sign five (5) last year based on how much I want to bring in monthly from retainer clients (not including revolving project/events clients and writing + editing clients). I signed three (3) and I will book the rest or more 😄 by February.
•
This journey is not easy and please don’t want my life. I have to go without stuff I want like getting my hair and nails done, going out, a new laptop or getting gifts for people I love (gifting is not even my strength, it stresses me out so I just show up instead lol).
•
So Surrender and Stability is my 2019. Ask me how I did in December. [01.25.19]⠀ 📸: @marcellousstudios ⠀ ⠀
⠀
⠀
[SIMPLICITY] Most new years, I have elaborate dreams and hopes, but for 2019, my hopes are simple and surrender is one of them. ⠀
•
One of the lessons, I learned in 2018 was I am not in control of my life as much as God is. I can do amazing and incredible things, but next to God, I can only do so much. If God is adamant about a no, it is a no. I can propose, plan and move all I want, but if I am truly surrendered to Christ, he will dispose faster than I can propose, plan or move. I want to surrender to that truth in 2019, and experience what it means to let God shatter my plans for his. Writing that actually scares me and gives me anxiety, but I am also tired of fighting him. Phew!
•
So wish me luck, because I can be stubborn. lol⠀
